An unusual rhythmic, melodic and lyrical mix, with influences going from samba to soul music, with some Arab and Hindu touches. Leo has a smooth, ambiguous voice, reaching pure high notes with special tuning accuracy! This artist is quickly producing a growing attention from great names of Brazilian Music!

special event : DJ GRACE KELLY
Brazilian born, berlin-based DJ Grace Kelly presents Afro-brazilian music and Latin-american sounds, Baile Funk – all of it filtered through Drum'n'Bass and Electro. Like any cross cultural DJ, she’s embraced being influenced: and so a trained ear will notice the Oriental Break-beats and Eastern European rhythms snuggling their way through her mixes.

JAHCUB

Jahcub and his 11-piece band play ‘Temple vibes’, a reggae pattern infused with some traditional African instruments, rock and melodies. In his homeland Nigeria, Jahcub opened for Femi Kuti and the Positive force at the new African Shrine. He has now relocated in London and has formed a new band that he drives with incredible energy.

UV are the UK's 1st 12tone band. This is a new genre coming out of London. It is a dance music that draws its inspiration from new and old rhythms, destroying the boundaries between 'urban', 'rock' and 'jazz' music.

LONDON LUCUMI CHOIR
Chant & percussion (UK)
The London Lucumi Choir was formed in 2006 by Martha Galarraga, Daniela Rosselson and Dave Pattman after many years of running voice workshops dedicated to singing songs for the Orishas (Yoruba deities). The choir is accompanied by traditional Bata Drums and other Afro-Cuban percussions, and recently opened for Eliades Ochoa at the Barbican.

TAARA
Mbalax Fusion (Senegal)
Seyni Diop was born in Dakar into a large family of artists and musicians. He started playing the bass and guitar at the age of 14 with his father Bello and brother-in-law Etu Dieng. Taara began as a group of friends playing music together  but soon gained recognition with their mbalax fusion direct from Senegal.
